Henning is a German tax and M&A (mergers and acquisitions) lawyer and chartered tax advisor (in German: Rechtsanwalt | Steuerberater | Fachanwalt für Steuerrecht) based in Cologne and Berlin. Henning is a co-founder and partner of 3T.Law (or just 3T), a tax and law firm established with excellent colleagues in Munich, Berlin and Cologne in early 2021. 3T advise in cross-border tax law, tech law and transaction (corporate law) matters.   

Henning grew up in the 1980s in Berlin-Friedrichshain and in the 1990s in Bonn and Atlanta/USA. Henning attended law school in Bonn, Cologne, Geneva, Ferrara/Italy and received a Ph. D. (Dr.iur.) in corporate law (analysing the Italian “patto leonino” and German company law principles) from the University of Augsburg (summa cum laude) in 2009. Following legal training (Rechtsreferendariat) in Bonn, Milan and Brussels Henning was admitted as a lawyer (Rechtsanwalt) in 2007 and as a certified tax advisor (Steuerberater) in 2010. He worked for KPMG’s tax and legal practise in Cologne (2007-2010), British law firm Bird & Bird in Frankfurt (2010-2016) and a German boutique tax and law firm until 2021, before founding 3T.Law together with initially five co-founders in Munich, Berlin and Cologne.  Henning has published more than 70 articles in legal periodicals and technical handbooks, primarily on tax law.

Henning has an enduring passion for a Berlin Prenzlauer Berg football club, currently held to play its matches at the Sportforum, Berlin Hohenschönhausen.
